The Massachusetts State Law requires all laptops with PII (Personally Identifiable Information) to be encrypted. OVC/DSL has broadened that scope to include all computers to be encrypted.
Encryption provides a high level password-protected method of protecting all data on your computer.
Windows Computers
All Windows computers will be encrypted using Bitlocker which is built into the Microsoft Windows Operating System.
MacOS Computers
All MacOS computers will be encrypted using FileVault which is built into the Apple Macintosh Operating System.
